Tula also conducts workshops to bring the interested people closer to these artisanal skills and to bring about a bigger understanding.

We are all excited as the dates are nearing for our Tula 10th anniversary Celebrations on 19th and 20th October @Spaces, 1, Elliots Beach Road, Besant Nagar, Chennai. Preparations are going on in full swing to bring you all the best that we can. Many of our experts are also coming from different parts of the country to provide this Tula Value Chain experience to you through numerous workshops.
There are various workshops like – Hand Spinning, Hand Weaving, Natural Dyeing, Block Printing and Mending. These will give you a better perspective of how Tula garment is made. These workshops & Demos are happening on both Saturday and Sunday.
There is also another special workshop that is happening for the first time in Chennai – Patnulu Spinning. This is carried out by the special craftswomen of Ponduru (AP) who do the whole cotton value chain with hand/local tools. You can also experience the special hands-on workshop organized, only on Sunday.
